Try to find a multivitamin that is also a multi mineral.
Multi minerals contain important minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron, and zinc.
However, multi vitamins supplements and multi mineral combination tablets rarely provide the calcium your body needs to maintain strong bones and teeth.
The average adult needs 1000mg of calcium per day, so buy a bottle and take 1-2 tablets daily, depending on the labeled dosage.
The Effectiveness of Vitamin Supplements
Vitamins for women and their respective minerals won't do you a lot of good if you eat junk all day, so don't think you can make up for a bad diet with tons of health vitamins! It doesn't work that way.

Also remember that too much of a good thing, is a bad thing. Don't go crazy on your daily vitamin and mineral intake, no matter how many you take you aren't going to live forever.
Too much of certain types can actually harm your body, so be reasonable. A balanced diet in addition to daily supplements and exercise is all you need.

When buying vitamins, be sure that they contain vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K.
These are a few of the most basic necessary supplements. If the multivitamin also contains some of the b vitamins, that is good.
