This effective stretch mark removal recipe is a cheap way to erase stretch marks in your own home! Emu oil for stretch marks is one of the most potent skin healing ingredients you can use.
Did you know that between 75 and 90% of women develop stretch marks during pregnancy alone? Nearly all women develop them during their teen years and can expect to see more during their future pregnancies.
Stretch marks are caused both by hormones in the body, and by the stretching of the dermis due to weight gain and quick growth. The dermis is the middle layer of skin that helps to give your body its shape.
Self-consciousness and the difficulty of stretch mark removal seem to go hand-in-hand for good reason. They are often a dark purple, scarred part of the body that are unsightly and gruesome to look at.
Despite all of the marketing hype out there today, all the creams and potions available today won't do a darn thing for your stretch marks alone. Stretch mark removal requires more than that.
It is said that certain medical prescription stretch mark creams may be effective at reducing the size of stretch marks.
Unfortunately, these prescriptions are often very expensive, irritating to the skin, and only work on "new" stretch marks.
Other options involve spending thousands of dollars in painful processes such as laser treatment and microdermabrasion- neither of which are guaranteed to work despite the pain and money. For most people, these stretch mark treatment options aren't even possible.
When I first started researching, I had many doctors, health magazines, and reputable websites tell me that there wasn't hardly anything you could do to erase stretch marks.
The only small consolation was that they would fade within a few years. Still obviously visible, mind, but perhaps less than before. This didn't help me much.
Stretch marks are often an ugly addition to otherwise beautiful curves, and it's hard not to feel self conscious if you have them. For many, even simple things such as dress shopping can be quite the disheartening experience.
I had always hoped to find a cure to the stretch mark problem. It seemed that everyone had them, and even the world's best doctors couldn't find the key.
I wanted a cheap and effective, private home ticket to stretch mark freedom, right away please! After years of experimenting with almost everything, I decided that I would make it possible, no matter what it took.
In essence, I didn't really ever "find" a solution...I created one!
My homemade stretch mark removal remedy does a variety of things:
- It gently takes off the scarred skin tissue layer by layer
- It stimulates new cell growth to replace the scars
- It softens the skin and promotes healthy blood circulation
- It provides a brand new baby-soft skin with which to begin anew.
Here is the stretch mark removal recipe:
- A massaging shower brush or pad, and a loofah
- A body exfoliating cream, such as a brown sugar scrub
- Pure aloe vera gel
- Cocoa butter
- A daily multi vitamin
- Gentle soap or shampoo
Now for the prep work!
Take the recommended dose of the multivitamin every day. It won't help if you get lazy and forget, so make your vitamins a priority. It's simply good skincare.
The next prep step is to soak your skin in nice warm water for 10 to 20 minutes. The shower and bath are both relaxing ways to do this. (Don't get in a hurry and forget this step, it is very important.)
Step 1) Put a dollop of soap or shampoo onto the clean loofah, and exfoliate your stretch marks for one minute.
Step 2) Next put a generous amount of exfoliating cream on your shower brush or pad.
Step 3) Gently work your brush in small circles on the stretch mark area for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4) After this, you should see a light red flush on the skin. Be sure you are not over exfoliating and damaging your skin excessively.
Step 5) Rinse the skin thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.
Step 6) Apply the aloe and cocoa butter to your stretch marks with this ratio: (1 tsp aloe vera to 2 tsp cocoa butter)
Step 7) Give your skin 20 minutes to soak in this remedial lotion before covering with clothes.
You should repeat this process about every three days. This depends on your skin. If you are naturally sensitive, you may need more time.
The point is to not overdo the process or do it too often. This could cause even more scarring. Allow your skin to heal between treatments, and you will see the best results.
You should be able to feel a difference in the texture of your stretch marks after that first treatment.
During the next several treatments, you will notice your stretch marks becoming thinner and even shorter. If your stretch marks are deep, you will notice that they seem to "surface" to the top of your skin and become soft after a month of treatment.
The key with this process is to be patient and allow as many weeks or months as necessary for your body to gradually renew the old scarred areas with fresh new skin.
