Natural Hair Care
I love playing with my hair. I could spend hours in Sally Beauty going over rows and rows of awesome hair products and accessories.
Like most women, I just want to have fabulous healthy hair! :)
Unfortunately, I am also on a budget too. Which means that I can't buy every available high-style moisture-locking color-tinting fabulously nourishing French creme out there. Unfortunately.

Over the years I have done a lot with my hair. I've dyed it many different shades, had curly and straight hair, short hair, long hair, frizzy hair, and dull hair.
There have been a lot of mistakes! You know those times when you look in the mirror after a home dye job and your mouth just drops? Not a good feeling.
Organic hair care is a new way of inexpensively taking the best care possible of your hair. Organic shampoo and organic skin care contribute significantly to natural hair care and skincare in your body.

Hair conditioners and organic hair treatment can be used to calm frizz or enhance curls, remove ugly hair dye or deep condition your locks.
I personally have tried just about every home remedy for hair ever imagined. Some of them I even created myself!
Over the years I've gained a pretty good idea about what organic hair care recipes work, and which ones do next to nothing.
I can now happily say that after all the mistakes and years of having less-than-beautiful hair, my hair today looks pretty darn good. :)
A combination of great home recipes and a couple inexpensive secret (read: not name brand!) products have gotten me to beautiful locks.
Now I'd like to pass on what I know to you! Ready for great hair? Here are a few of my favorite, most useful organic hair care recipes:
The Color Enriching, Wonderfully Scented Organic Hair Care Recipe
This is absolutely one of my favorite hair remedies (that I created myself). After trying this recipe, it truly becomes difficult to push people's noses away from your hair!
It is a fabulous-smelling, color enriching natural hair remedy that costs less than $1 or $2 for multiple uses!

You will need a few things:
- Cinnamon
- A shower cap or plastic wrap
- Any hair conditioner
- A monster clip
Begin with towel dried damp hair. Gently comb out the tangles in your hair. Then apply a quarter sized amount of conditioner from tips to roots.
With the conditioner evenly spread, work a generous amount of cinnamon throughout all of your hair, and pile it on top of your head. Secure it with a clip and cover with your shower cap or plastic wrap.
Allow this mixture to sit for 30 minutes. For even better results, wrap a hot towel around your head to enhance the smell and color enriching effects. Rinse and recondition.
Let your hair air dry naturally, and you will see richer color and notice an amazing scent. Prepare to turn heads!
Emergency Color Remover Recipe
So that pretty brunette look your were going for turned about to be waaaay to dark, and you're panicking. The downside? Home dye jobs are a bad idea, plain and simple. It's alright though, I've done it too.
The upside is that this recipe is quite effective at taking out color. The other plus is that it won't damage your hair even a quarter as much as stripping your hair will.
The sooner you use this color removing recipe, the easier the color will fade out. You will see significant results within 1-5 processes.
Here are your materials:
- Olive oil
- Lemon juice
- A hair dryer
- A constant supply of hot towels
- A shower cap or plastic wrap
- A monster clip or cloth hair band
- Shampoo
Begin by soaking your entire head in really warm olive oil. Work the olive oil into your hair and scalp upside-down over a sink.
Olive oil is effective at removing color because it opens the cuticle and wipes out color with its oily texture. It is also a great conditioner to protect your hair from the second part of this remedy.
Then secure your hair on top of your head with the clip or band. Cover with a shower cap or plastic wrap.
Wrap a hot towel over the cap and wear it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, put on a fresh hot towel. (It's best to keep two or three in the dryer at once so you can rotate them!)
Continue rotating the towels until the olive oil has had 30-40 minutes to soak into your hair. After the time is up, shampoo your hair twice to get all of the oil rinsed out.
The second part to this emergency color removal system is to gently "bleach" a little of the color out. Here is the strategy:
Soak your entire head of hair in lemon juice. Use enough to make it barely drip.
Then, blow dry until your hair is completely dry all over. At this point, rinse and shampoo your hair again.
Begin again at square one with the olive oil recipe. Continue doing both the olive oil and lemon juice recipe repeatedly until you get the right color.
Done twice per day, this organic hair care recipe should give you the correct results within a few days of use, depending on how dark you dyed your hair and how light you want it to be.
