These are the most effective home remedies for yeast infections. If you have signs of a yeast infection, treat it quickly. Homemade treatments on how to cure yeast infections.
A yeast infection looks like red, rashy skin that may feel hot and itchy, and cause pain during urination.
Vaginal yeast infections are a common problem in many women at some point during their lives. A penile yeast infection is one that men experience. They are both caused by a fungus called Candida albicans that begins to proliferate within the vagina or male anatomy causing pain, itchiness, a burning feeling or discharge.
Home remedies for yeast infections can often help fix the problem, but sometimes additional medicine from your doctor will be needed. Unfortunately there haven't been many conclusive studies that prove these home remedies completely effective. Many studies have suggested that they do, but more evidence would be needed.
Here are some natural remedies you can try at home. Make sure you talk to your doctor beforehand with anything you try.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea Tree Oil has proven to be extremely useful for a variety of skin issues because of its antimicrobial capabilities. However, tea tree is very potent and strong and can easily cause dryness on even tough skin.

If you want to try this method, you must dilute the oil first. A good product to try would be an unscented fragrance-free baby oil. Mix four parts baby oil with one part tea tree oil, and smooth over the vagina's opening once or twice per day. This should be effective in killing the Candida within a week approximately.
Probiotics
Probiotics are often known as the "good bacteria" in your body that helps keep harmful bacteria from growing. These live microbials are naturally present in the intestines and vagina.
Probiotics can be bought as a supplement and taken daily to block further growth from the Candida. You will want to look for Acidophilus. Many drugstores have them available over-the-counter; follow the dosage instructions for about a week to restore the proper balance of good bacteria.
Garlic
With many clinical studies and doctors backing up garlic's capabilities, it is surprising that so few people know of it's ability to kill yeast rather quickly.
There are a couple of ways you can take garlic as home remedies for yeast infections. The first is to take it orally. If you can stand the taste, you should eat one to two cloves of organic, fresh garlic everyday.
Begin by peeling off the white shell until only the clove is left. You will probably want to wash it down with a lot of water and then brush your teeth well!
Some people opt to drink the juice of garlic over eating it. If you'd like, try pressing two cloves to a whole garlic and drink the juice quickly. This has been widely accepted as a fast way to treat a yeast infection. Be sure to do this everyday for at least a week to ensure that the infection is truly gone.

Another way you can use garlic to kill yeast is by insertion. Every night before bed, sew a string through one clove and then place it in your vagina overnight. The string makes removal easy in the morning.
You can try this method during the daytime too, but it is advised you wait until you will be sleeping because you begin to taste the garlic while it is inserted in your body. You should do this for several nights in a row to make sure the Candida has gone.
Because the tissue is already sore and burned from the infection, it may begin to itch even more when the garlic is placed inside, because the garlic will cause even more burning. Then, the skin tissue will replace itself. If need be, wrap the clove in a bit of gauze before inserting it.
These home remedies for yeast infections should help fix the problem within a matter of day. However, make sure you see a doctor if things get worse or simply aren't improving.
