This dry hair treatment recipe works because it penetrates into the hair shaft to deep condition and introduce moisture. This specific process is super effective because it then locks in the moisture so it can't escape.
Depending on how dry your hair is, plan on using this conditioner for dry hair once every week or two.
Begin by soaking all of your hair in the hot olive oil or coconut oil. (Be sure it isn't too hot!) Cover your hair with the shower cap or plastic wrap.
Then, wrap a hot towel around your head to induce the moisturizing infusion. Keep the other towels hot in the dryer.
Leave the oil in your hair for 30-40 minutes, rotating hot towels every 10 minutes.
When you are finished, simply rinse your hair with warm water. Then, apply a generous amount of shampoo and rinse with cold water. Shampoo again and rinse with cold water.
Condition your hair as you normally would, leaving it on for three minutes, and rinse with cold water to retain the moisture in your hair.
